Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the Ramadine range consist of?

The Ramadine range of solutions are antiseptic agents for mucous membrane, wounds, and skin. It is a ready-to-use antiseptic with immediate and long-term efficacy for surgical skin preparation.

2) How to use Ramadine as an antiseptic agent?

Hygienic skin and mucous membrane disinfection:
Ramadine® is used undiluted. Paint Ramadine® onto the skin areas to be disinfected until they are completely wet. Allow to take effect for one minute.

Pre-operative cleansing and disinfection:
Prepare the surgical site by washing with sterile Ramadine® -saturated swab.
For septic surgery, first disinfect the site of the planned incision and then the neighboring skin areas.

For septic operative procedures, begin disinfection at the periphery. The surgical site must be disinfected at least twice. Allow to take effect for at least five minutes. Incision foils may only be applied after drying.

Post-operative wound treatment: After the wound has been closed and any incision foil removed, clean the sutures and surrounding skin areas with a sterile Ramadine®-saturated swab. Depending on the type of dressing, cover the wound while the skin is still moist or, if adhesion is necessary, after the skin has dried.
