Our late founder Mr. Pravin Shah was a visionary who foresaw the need of specialised hi tech disinfectants in the Indian Healthcare Industry.

Established in 1989, we are Raman & Weil Pvt. Ltd. India, pioneers in the field of hi-tech disinfectants and antiseptics for use in hospitals, clinics, medical facilities, and pharmaceutical/ industrial manufacturing units.

We have an active and exclusive collaboration since 33 years, with the internationally-renowned manufacturer BODE Chemie / Hartmann, Germany, the makers of Sterillium® – The Gold Standard Worldwide for Alcohol Rubs In Hand Disinfection. It is the recipient of the prestigious Brand of the Century, thrice, for 9 years in a row.

Raman & Weil has 4 manufacturing units, also audited and certified, with the WHO GMP certificate for our Quality Manufacturing Practices.

We currently have an entire range of some imported, and some domestically manufactured disinfectants and antiseptics in different.

Our products are accompanied by extensive microbicidal efficacy reports, MSDS, COA, and other relevant documents. We can deliver to your desired destination, in India and globally.

We are the pioneers, in India, in introducing products for the prevention of Hospital Acquired Infection (HAI), along with an in-depth knowledge, in Prevention of Nosocomial Infections.

Our products are superior and authentic in terms of their quality and microbicidal activity. They are effective against bacteria, multi-resistant bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, enveloped & non enveloped viruses, and spores.

Our products are developed in line with WHO, CDC - USA Recommendations.

Our reach is to more than 20,000 medical hospitals, nursing homes in India, and about a 100 leading Pharmaceutical giants in India, most of them USFDA or EUFDA audited.

Our intensive training thoroughly covers all areas of infection control with a deep focus on medical microbiology, hand hygiene, antimicrobial resistance, effective surface, instrument and skin disinfection as per international guidelines.

Our Pharma division product range is even more proficient in Contamination Control, and overcomes infection prevention challenges in the manufacturing area of Class I to Class IV. The products are accepted for use in Sterile Units, Food Processing Areas and Veterinary upkeep.

Our Consumer division aims to drive the products within the range and make it available to the Indian consumer. India needs infection control solutions that can be trusted: Steri 360 & Bacto 360 are these solutions.

Manufacturing facilities of R&W are located at Daman and is audited and accredited as per WHO GMP, ISO 13485 and Schedule M Guidelines.

These state-of-the-art facilities manufacture R&W’s product formulations with filling done in Semi and Automatic Filling Lines. There is a strict adherence to safety, hazardous and environmental compliances.

R&W has in-house testing and Quality Control & Assurance for most of their products. The relevant scientific documents such as the Certificate of Analysis, MSDS are created in-house for every batch product.

R&W is the sole representative of Principals, M/s BODE Chemie, Hamburg, Germany, pioneers in manufacture of Hi-Tech Disinfectants since 1925.

BODE Chemie, Germany, was founded in 1924. They produce Hi-Tech disinfectants for all areas of applications in hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, food industries, cosmetic industries, etc. Currently, they have more than 100 products.

Sterillium®, an alcohol-based hand rub antiseptic is the leading hand disinfectant available in over 50 countries with an annual consumption worldwide in excess of 10,000 tonnes per annum. BODE Chemie products are certified as per the German Medicines Act and the GMP specifications.

BODE Chemie’s plant and quality management is certified DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and DIN EN ISO 13485:2003 AC 2007 certified, and environmental management is certified according to the international ISO 14001: 2009 norm.

In 2009, BODE Chemie became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Paul Hartmann AG, Heidenheim, Germany. Today, Hartmann is a 1.8 Billion Euros conglomerate with operations in more than 30 countries.

In 2011, BODE Chemie launched a new BODE SCIENCE CENTER website, which combines science with infection protection practice and advice. This is the only company that offers this educational tool to the medical fraternity.

R&W has partnered with PCC for their range of Inhalation Anaesthesia range of products, Including Halothane, Isoflurane and Sevoflurane, since 2003. The Piramal Group is a diversified conglomerate with 30 countries, 100 markets and a turnover in excess of USD 3 Billion. Over the years R&W and PCC have invested in Vaporisers & have been servicing this equipment with medical institutions.

R&W joined hands with the Veterinary division of Glaxo Smithkline in 1990, for the exclusive marketing of our Disinfectants for Animal Upkeep. In 2006, keeping up with the trend of mergers and acquisitions, this division of Glaxo was taken over by Virbac SA, an international giant in animal healthcare. Virbac was founded in 1968 in Carros, France, by veterinarian Pierre-Richard, Virbac is dedicated exclusively to animal health. With a turnover of 467.4 million in 2009, the company ranks today as the 8th largest veterinarian pharmaceutical group worldwide. Today Virbac India, markets 150 products with a field force of more than 500 people.

R&W has partnered with Kimberly Clark for their Wiping technology. Kimberly Clark is renowned for their innovative, scientifically-sound wiping systems that release almost 80% of the solution back to the surface it is being applied on. Here R&W has launched products with saturated KC wipes with R&W Disinfectants.
